CAMDEN HAVEN HISTORICAL SOCIETY
what we do
Camden Haven Historical Society Inc. is a community group on the Mid-North Coast of New South Wales that researches, collects and interprets the history and heritage of the Camden Haven.
We find, record and publish Unique Stories about the people, places and events that have shaped the history of Camden Haven.
We collect material from the earliest possible date to the present day, for display in the museum.
ATTENTION! RESIDENTS, LOCALS AND VISITORS!
let's keep history alive!
IT TAKES A COMMUNITY TO MAKE HISTORY …
JOIN IN OUR EFFORTS TO RAISE INTEREST, KNOWLEDGE AND PRIDE IN THE (ONGOING) HISTORY OF OUR COMMUNITY.
MAKE YOUR CONTRIBUTION
tell us your stories
We encourage all local residents to join and take part in the telling of stories that will add to our knowledge and foster pride and connection in our community.
send in your pics

FAMILY RESEARCH SERVICE
HELPING YOU FIND PEOPLE FROM THE PAST
We can assist you to research your family history and connections to the area. We work with cultural and community groups to create opportunities for participation and to encourage reflection on the past and the present.
Watch the story of The three brothers as told by the Birpai …
Passing what is now known as the mid-north coast of New South Wales, James Cook thought he named these mountains the Three Brothers. He did not know the Birrbay (Biripi) people had called these mountains the Three Brothers — Dooragan, Mooragan and Booragan — for millennia.
